Gold sink

Dungeon Quest Reborn upgrades

Upgrades in Dungeon Quest Reborn turn gold into slightly stronger gear. The mistake is upgrading every drop. Keep gold for the weapon or armor you will still wear after the next dungeon.

Sell extras first. Upgrade the slot that survives several Dungeon Quest Reborn maps.

The loop

  1. Clear a dungeon in Dungeon Quest Reborn.
  2. Equip the piece that improves your main Physical or Spell stat, or that stops a wipe.
  3. Sell the rest at the vendor.
  4. Upgrade only the keeper — usually your weapon or a stubborn armor hole.

When not to upgrade

  • You are about to enter a new dungeon whose drops will replace this slot.
  • The rarity is higher but the damage stat is the wrong path.
  • You cannot finish the current map even after the upgrade — skill and telegraphs first.

Early gold comes from repeating the opening dungeon, not from maxing a white weapon.

Formulas are leads, not Reborn law

Original Dungeon Quest research describes upgrade gain as a small percent of the base stat, but Reborn coefficients are not confirmed. Use the live blacksmith preview and spend gold only on keepers; do not plan a spreadsheet on OG numbers alone.

Selling vs trading

The vendor pays gold. Another player may want the same item. If the piece is a named legendary duplicate, read Dungeon Quest Reborn trading before you melt it.
